Three weeks before it’s release, Paramount finally released the official trailer and poster for Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender.
To say Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender has had problems would be an understatement. First came the news that the film was skipping theaters and going straight to Paramount+. Then the entire film was leaked to the internet. Now, three weeks ahead of its release on July 25, 2026, Paramount has finally released the official trailer for the film, which follows Team Avatar in adulthood a number of years after ending the Hundred Year War.
The plot of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is summarized as follows:
Based on the animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, this new story in the Avatar universe sees Aang learn of an ancient power that could save his culture from extinction. With the help of his friends, he embarks on a global quest to find it before it falls into the wrong hands and threatens to upend the peace they sacrificed everything to achieve.
I’ll give Paramount this much, the film looks fantastic, which makes the decision to pull the film from a theatrical release all the more baffling. The audience is being cheated of what looks to be an amazing experience and I remain disappointed that Paramount took this route with the film.

What do you think of the trailer for the film?
