Netflix and Sony Pictures have announced a new Ghostbusters animated series is in the works.
At the start of Netflix’s Geeked Week event, Netflix and Sony Pictures jointly announced that a new Ghostbusters animated series is on the way. The series has no official title as yet, and will have Jason Reitman, the director of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Gil Kenan serving as executive producers for the series.
Specific plot details about this animated series are unknown at this time, but given that the original film is celebrating its 38th anniversary, details might be forthcoming in the near future.
There is no release window available for the Ghostbusters animated series, but the series is expected to eventually premiere on Netflix.
