We may soon have a star for the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte, with Amandla Stenberg reportedly in talks to star in the series.

According to a report from the Iluminerdi, Amandla Stenberg (Rue in The Hunger Games) is in talks to join the upcoming Disney+ series The Acolyte, which is set to take place at the tail end of The High Republic, or about fifty years before The Phantom Menace.

For obvious reasons, there are no details being given about the character Stenberg, who identifies as non-binary, might be playing. However, we do know that the series will focus on the rise of Dark Side powers, so it’s easily possible that we could get a look at a Sith Master operating in secret during this time.

Stenberg is in talks to play a lead role in the series, which is coming from showrunner Leslye Headland. Sadly, no other details are know, but it’s exciting nonetheless!

Are you excited at the possibility of seeing Amandla Stenberg join the galaxy far far away?
