An ‘Elfquest’ Animated Series is in the Works at Fox

The classic ‘Elfquest’ comic may be finding new life as an animated series!

It’s been revealed in an exclusive report at Deadline that Fox has given a script commitment for an animated drama series based on Elfquest, an epic comic series originally released in 1978 by Dark Horse Comics. The series was created by Wendy and Richard Pini and follows a community of elves struggling to survive on a primitive world.

Thus far, all we know for sure about the series is that Susan Hurwitz Arneson (The Last Amazon) will write the adaptation and serve as the show runner and the executive producer.

It should also be noted that this adaptation of Elfquest is being created with the full blessing of the original series creators. Knowing that they are giving their input to this adaptation should make fans of the comic hopeful that the adaptation will do it justice.

What do you think of Elfquest being turned into an animated series?
