Cast Revealed for ‘Flinstones’ Animated Adult Spin-Off ‘Bedrock’

Hanna-Barbera

More than 60 years after the original air date of the Flintstones cartoon, we have learned who has been cast to take on the iconic Stone Age roles in the adult comedy spin-off Bedrock. Elizabeth Banks is leading the cast as adult Pebbles in addition to her role as executive producer.

Deadline reports the show will focus on the Flintstones family 20 years after the cartoon, catching up with Fred as he’s on the brink of retirement, Pebbles is trying to nail down her own career, and “the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age.”

Alongside Banks, Stephen Root will voice Fred, and Amy Sedaris as Wilma to round out the Flintstones family. Their neighbors Barney will be voiced by Joe Lo Truglio along with Nicole Byer as Betty, and Manny Jacinto as Bamm-Bamm.

The show reportedly received its pilot order at Fox this week, two years after it was first revealed. Along with Banks, the show is being produced by Sam Register, Max Handelman via Brownstone Productions with Warner Bros. Animation and Fox Entertainment. Bedrock will be written by Lindsay Kerns and Lon Zimmet, who will also co-executive produce.
