FX/Hulu have (finally) released an actual trailer for Alien: Earth that shows off more of the story we’ll be watching. It looks great.
After a whole bunch of unsettling, and admittedly engaging, teasers we’re finally getting a glimpse at what Noah Hawley’s upcoming Alien series is actually about. The new trailer for Alien: Earth arrived this morning and it brings the goods:
I’m amazed at how stunning this show looks. I mean, if I hadn’t known this was for TV, I would have thought it was a movie trailer. The VFX on the spaceships is impressive, the design work on the creatures is solid, and I’m intrigued by what this new story will bring to the overall lore. Between the amazing-ness of Alien: Romulus, and the seeming connections with the new Predator movies, it’s a great time to be an Alien fan.
When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, “Wendy” (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat. FX’s Alien: Earth is created for television and executive produced by Noah Hawley.
Alien: Earth debuts on FX (and Hulu) on August 12th.
