Prime Video and Titmouse Animation wasted no time in sharing the first clip from the long-awaited animated series The Mighty Nein.
As San Diego Comic-Con got underway, the first of Critical Role’s two panels revealed the first official clip from the upcoming series The Mighty Nein, a spin-off to the ongoing series The Legend of Vox Machina. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 19, 2025.
The official synopsis for The Mighty Nein reads as follows:
The Mighty Nein follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars. But when a powerful arcane relic known as “The Beacon” falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling.
Along with the regular cast came word that a number of high-profile guest stars will be appearing in The Mighty Nein’s first season, though what roles they’re playing are unknown. The impressive guest star lineup includes Mark Strong, Alan Cumming, Tim McGraw, Anika Noni Rose, Ming-Na Wen, Auli’i Cravalho, Rahul Kohli, Robbie Daymond, and Jonathan Frakes.
For what it’s worth, Mark Strong has already appeared in The Legend of Vox Machina in a cameo that was strongly implied to be a younger version of Mighty Nein villain Trent Ikithon, but we’ve yet to receive official confirmation of this.
A set of new character posters were also released, giving the best look yet at the band of misfits that grow to become The Mighty Nein:
