Ronald Moore & Sarah J. Maas are Developing ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ series for Hulu

In exciting news for fans of the ongoing A Court of Thorns and Roses series, it’s been announced that a television adaptation of the fantasy series by Sarah J. Maas is being developed for Hulu!

The news broke at the end of last week, with Sarah J. Maas herself confirming in an Instagram post that she and producer Ronald Moore are co-writing a pilot script for a series on Hulu that adapts the story of A Court of Thorns and Roses, which currently consists of five novels, the most recent of which is A Court of Silver Flames.

The first book was originally published in 2015 and follows Feyre Archeron as she is sucked into the magical world of Prythian as punishment for killing a faerie. Five years ago, there were whispers of a film adaptation of ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) being developed, but that seems unlikely if Sarah J. Maas is now working on an adaptation for Hulu.

No other details are known at this time, but hopefully the ACOTAR series will have a better fate than the Hulu adaptation of Maas’ Throne of Glass series. That series, tentatively titled Queen of Shadows, was last heard of in 2016 and no further updates have been revealed since.

Given the popularity of ACOTAR, there will hopefully be updates on the pilot episode sooner rather than later.
