Star Wars: The Acolyte Gets a Poster, Premiere Date, and Official Synopsis!

Ahead of the first official trailer tomorrow, Lucasfilm has revealed an incredible poster for The Acolyte, along with a June premiere date, and more!

This is certainly one way to make your Monday much better! Today brings the first poster for the next Star Wars live-action series on Disney+, The Acolyte. The arrival of the poster heralds the first (publicly released) trailer which will arrive at some point tomorrow morning.

This poster goes insanely hard. It’s just, whew! So good. I love the darker tone it immediately establishes and the imagery is evocative in a number of ways. On top of that, the poster reveals an official June 4th release date (lining up with previous release reports). For those wondering, the 4th is actually a Tuesday, which means they’re going back to Tuesday premieres for these episodes!

Lastly, the official Star Wars website has revealed the first official synopsis for the upcoming show:

In The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….

Star Wars: The Acolyte debuts June 4, 2024 exclusively on Disney+. Be sure to stay tuned here on Cinelinx as we’ll have the trailer up on the site as soon as it drops!
