Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation has offered fans their first look at Joel and Ellie’s return for The Last of Us season two.
With filming still underway, there’s obviously not a lot to go on here in these first look images, but I’m damn excited nonetheless. The Last of Us season one was a pretty incredible adaptation of an already excellent game. As such, I’m eager for just about any and all news when it comes to the next season.
During their Upfront presentation (shortly after dropping that great Dune: Prophecy trailer), WB/Max gave audiences a look ahead with these quick images, showing the slightly older versions of our returning characters, Joel and Ellie.
For those who’ve played the second game, the first image of Joel is pretty recognizable in the moment, and I’m already tearing up thinking of all the things surrounding it. I’m ready to have my heart ripped out once more.
The Last of Us season two will arrive at some point in 2025.
