Watch Ken Masters Crash Out in the Official Street Fighter Movie Trailer Now

After months of hype and slow-burn releasing of promotional materials and teasers, the moment we’ve all (or at least, probably, somebody) has been waiting for has arrived: Capcom, Paramount and Legendary Pictures have joined forces to drop the official trailer for the newest attempt at a movie based on the legendary fighting game series, Street Fighter. You can check it out here:

It should be pretty plain to see that the people in charge of this one are absolutely leaning in to the goofiness of the concept. Fighting game plots are often played deadly straight, even if not a single one would ever be meaningfully compared to something like Hemingway. This movie’s decision to just go nuts with it could be what separates it from the unsuccessful video game adaptations that shied away from the reality of their source material. Then again, the Sonic the Hedgehog movies separated themselves from the pack by just actually being good movies, so who knows what will happen here exactly?

Street Fighter is scheduled for release in theaters October 16, 2026. Kitao Sakurai is directing, with JJ Hook and Kenzo Tsujimoto executive producing. Noah Centineo stars as Ken Masters, and Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai, Cody Rhodes and David Dastmalchian also starring.
