In a Variety exclusive, it has been confirmed that What If?… composer Laura Karpman has joined the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels.
Laura Karpman is the second female composer to ever score a Marvel movie, with the first being Captain Marvel‘s Pinar Toprak. Other popular works of hers include HBO’s Lovecraft Country.
In an official statement, Karpman said “I am thrilled to be going on this wild adventure with Nia DaCosta and Carol Danvers and am really looking forward to the collaboration”. She will be joining director Nia DaCosta and WandaVision writer Megan McDonnell in the production of the film.
The Marvels is due to release in February of 2023, starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Paris, and Iman Vellani.
