Klassic 1993 Mortal Kombat Kommercial Remade for Launch of Mortal Kombat 1

Today, WB Games and Nether Realm Studios have released a new live action trailer featuring the likes of Dave Bautista to celebrate the launch of Mortal Kombat 1! When the first live action trailer for Moratal Kombat releases in 1993, I was the young age of five and all I can remember was how badly I wanted to play this game.

Now at the age of 36, I can say Mortal Kombat has been a part of my life for 30 straight years and I feel like the game series has never been better! With the new addition and refresh of the story, Mortal Kombat 1 will be better than ever before! Dave Bautista and ED Boon had this to say about the recreation on the klassic commercial;

“I vividly remember the original Mortal Monday commercial, especially the iconic scream,” said Bautista. “That’s what started my journey as a fan of Mortal Kombat, which continues to this day 30 years later. I’m very thrilled and honored to be a part of the game’s legacy.”

“The original Mortal Monday commercial earmarked the beginning of our journey into making games for home gaming systems,” said Ed Boon, Chief Creative Officer, NetherRealm Studios and Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat. “It’s amazing to pay homage to such a memorable moment in Mortal Kombat history as we get ready to launch our newest game, Mortal Kombat 1.”
