Metroid Prime Remaster is Available Right Now

Today’s Nintendo Direct had some surprise drops for gamers, including a full remaster of Metroid Prime you can play right now!

Fans were hoping for some Metroid Prime news during today’s Nintendo Direct, with many holding out hope for a much-needed update to the upcoming fourth game in the series. While that didn’t happen, fans were still given quite a treat. Not only was a remaster for the original game revealed, Nintendo went ahead and released it…right now!

The first Metroid Prime game has been remastered for Nintendo Switch with HD visuals and enhanced sound! Explore Tallon IV from the perspective of Samus Aran. But beware: There’s more to this alien planet than meets the eye. When hostile creatures attack, fight back with Beams, Missiles, Bombs and more. In addition to remastered visuals, this version adds modern dual-stick controls, allowing you to move around while separately changing your point of view. It’s also the first time this classic game can be played on the go!

Metroid Prime Remastered is available right now digitally on the eShop, with a physical version coming on February 22nd.
