During the WB/Nether Realm Studios Mortal Kombat 1 SDCC Trailer we got a huge treat from ED Boon and the studio! First up the team revealed the official trailer for the Umgadi, in this trailer, we see the reintroduction of Li Mei (Last seen in MK Deadly Alliance), Tanya (Last seen in Mortal Kombat X), and of course the one and only Baraka! We also saw a bit more about how Mileena‘s origin story is changing and that Darrius (Last Seen in Mortal Kombat Armageddon) will be returning as a Kameo Fighter!
This trailer showcased a ton of reasons why we should be excited for not just the game, but the amazing story it will tell us from the Mortal Kombat Universe! Beyond that amazing reveal, Kombat Pack 1 was been officially revealed during the event and it seems like the rumors are all true!
We will have a slew of characters coming in Kombat Pack 1:
- Quan Chi
- Ermac
- Takeda Takahashi
- Peacemaker (Based on DC’s The Suicide Squad film & Peacemaker series on Max)
- Omni-Man (Based on the original comic book & animated television series Invincible)
- Homelander* (Based on the hit series The Boys)
The Jean-Claude Van Damme character skin for Johnny Cage will be launching with this pack, as well as Ferra(MKX), Johnny Cage, Khameleon(MK Armageddon), Mavado(MK Armageddon)& Tremor(MK X) will be added to the Kameo Fighters Roster!
This is all amazing news, not only was the Umgadi trailer great, but holy hell we get to fight Omni-Man against Homelander! Nether Realm Studios sure is making this game out to be the biggest shower of love they have ever given their fans!
