Warner Bros. is hitting the ground running with MultiVersus, the company’s free-to-play platform fighter featuring nostalgic favorites, with a gameplay showcase today.
In addition to the star-studded gameplay preview, Warner Bros. announced that registration is now open for the MultiVersus Tournament at Evolution (Evo) Championship Series 2022 on August 5 and 6. There is a $100,000 prize pool.
The gameplay video released today showcases the 2v2 fighting through the professional gaming stylings of four known FGC gamers: ApologyMan (playing as Tom & Jerry) and Brokkr (playing as Superman) vs Spooky (playing as Shaggy) and Leviathan (playing as Velma). The best-of-five matchup is hosted by Sharpie, AJAX, and IFC YipeS.

The 2v2 brawler’s roster includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant); an original creature named Reindog; with more to come.
MultiVersus will go into Open Beta in July on PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as PC, including cross-play support.
