New WWE 2K22: Booyaka Gameplay Trailer Showcases Smooth, Hard-hitting Gameplay Engine

A couple of weeks ago, WWE and 2K Games announced the legend Rey Mysterio as the cover superstar of WWE 2K22. With that announcement was a trailer that made a lot of promises over much-needed improvements to the series. Today, 2K Games and WWE have released a new trailer that shows off all things gameplay, so you can see these improvements in action.

The previous generations of WWE 2K, took a lot of criticism from players and reviewers for bugs, gameplay mechanics, and for mostly being an unfinished game when it released. With WWE 2K22, it appears as if Visual Concepts – the 2K studio behind WWE 2K22 – are doing what they can to improve upon past mistakes by redesigning their gameplay engine, putting more time into making animations realistic, and including highly-desired game modes like MyGM.

WWE 2K22 Standard Edition and Cross-Gen Bundle will be available March 11, 2022. WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition and nWo 4-Life Digital Edition will be available on March 8, 2022. All versions will release on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Consoles, and PC.
