Playing With My Toys: Reviewing Hasbro’s New Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Figures

Jordan puts his toy collecting ways aside to unbox (and review) Hasbro’s new “Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms – Drizzt & Guenhwyvar” two-pack.

Drizzt and his companion Guenhwyvar have come a long way over the decades. From supporting character to starring in scores of books and popping up in a number of video games. Now, he’s one of the most recognizable D&D characters around. As such, the exclusive two-pack set is definitely something fans will want to check out.

I recently had the chance to check out the upcoming toy release (which is hitting just in the nick of time to be a last minute holiday gift) and decided to put my thoughts together in a brand new video for your enjoyment:

There are a whole lot of things I love about these figures. I’m blown away by the amount of detail/articulation put into Guenhwyvar, easily one of the best animal based figures I’ve seen. Even though I normally prefer soft goods when it comes to capes, the more flexible silicone plastic they’ve used allows for great detail while still offering movement options.

Based on the appearances in the upcoming D&D video game, Dark Alliances, these figures bring a lot to the table for fans and even general toy collectors. The set is available exclusively from Hasbro Pulse and set to launch on December 18th (next week!) and are available for pre-order right now exclusively from Hasbro Pulse.
