Ubisoft Signs Multi-Year Partnership with Funko and Good Smile Company

Ubisoft has just agreed to terms on a multi-year partnership with two leading manufacturers of collectible figures, Funko and Good Smile Company. The move was made by the global video game publisher as a means to expand their brand across the Collectible category. This means more iconic Ubisoft figures releasing worldwide.

The terms of the deal will have Funko producing their unique brand of Pop! Vinyl figures of Assassin’s Creed titles and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege in North America and Latin America. Furthermore, Funko will also be producing apparel and accessories of these Ubisoft characters in typical Funko fashion. Expect to find these in stores by Early 2021.

While Funko will primarily release products in the Americas, Japanese manufacturer Good Smile Company will be releasing their Ubisoft themed products globally. Good Smile Company are the proud producers of the Nendoroid and figma figure lines. As part of its agreement, Good Smile Company will create Assassin’s Creed figures for their Nendoroid line. Additionally, they will extend Assassin’s Creed to their figma series, their action figure line with smooth joints and full range of motion created by Max Factory.

With the ink dry on the partnership agreement, both Ubisoft and Good Smile Company expressed their excitement with the multi-year deal.

“Partnering with both Funko and Good Smile Company allows us to amplify our immersive worlds our fans love in our games, and allow them to experience and collect their favorite characters in highly collectible formats that are high-quality, unique and innovative,” said Sarah Buzby, Vice President of Consumer Products, Ubisoft.

“Ubisoft has been a trusted company in the gaming industry for over 30 years and they continue to bring authenticity and creativity in every game they publish. The formation of this partnership between Ubisoft and Good Smile Company creates new avenues for fans to connect with the games they enjoy and to continue to expand the successes of both organizations. We at Good Smile Company are excited to see this partnership come to fruition,” said Takanori Aki, CEO & Founder, Good Smile Company.

There is no firm release date for any of these products, outside of Early 2021. Stay tuned for more information.
