Some un-released thoughts have been running amuck my headspace, and a recent re-watch of Spring Breakers pulled the trigger. Probably three films you never thought you'd see in the same corner, Spring Breakers, American Sniper, and a 'dash' of Inherent Vice, are the films I chose to defend. Read below, my curious brain splurge.
Actor Bradley Cooper landed in Dallas, TX to be a part of the Red Carpet Premiere for American Sniper to benefit the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. I was invited to take part in the event, which was absolute pandemonium from the second the celebrity walked in the front doors through a line of military veterans. He was accompanied by Taya Kyle, the widow of the soldier whose life the movie is based on.
Marvel and Disney give the gift that keeps on giving all year round with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy on 3D and regular Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Download. Although high expectations were had by both studios, I was up in the air until seeing it in theaters. Why would anyone want to see a movie about a bunch of characters no one is familiar with flying around the universe? Thankfully, I was wrong. What we get is an exhilarating space opera with enough connections to the Avengers to pull in a mainstream crowd hungry for more super hero escapades.
