A single warrior against a thousand enemies, a PlayStation 2 best-selling classic is being revived. Two decades after the initial release, KOEI TECMO and Omega Force have officially announced that Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered will be released on October 1, 2026.
The Dynasty Warriors series debuted in 1997 on PlayStation 1 as a one-on-one fighter, paving the way for the 2001 release of Dynasty Warriors 3 on PlayStation 2. This installment of the game quickly became a fan favorite for its controlled chaos and new mechanics.
This version of the game will be packed full of new combat and gameplay mechanics, such as:
- Evasion: Dodge enemy strikes or temporarily withdraw from the front line.
- Just Evasion: Time a dodge perfectly to unleash a counterattack.
- Perfect Power Guard: Deflect incoming attacks to stun opponents and create an opening.
- Weapon Fusion: Sacrifice unwanted gear to transfer elemental attributes and skills, forging the ultimate weapon.
As well as brand new stories to complement the beloved ones fans already know, a massive unlockable officer roster, new challenges that add to the classic campaign, multiple multiplayer options ( offline two- player co-op, split-screen, and head-to-head options)
Standard digital edition is available now, however those who pre-order the Complete Edition Remastered before September 30, 2026, will receive the “Retro-style Red Hare Saddle” as a bonus along with the other items which includes the base game, 42 weapons that can also be used for fusion, six secret teachings, Wind Scroll, Tiger Amulet, Officer Concept Art Collection, and a set of 42 costumes based on the original title.
