Bungie unveiled a new game based on a long lost IP they had, and it looks pretty fun. Could this be the live service game Sony has been searching for?
It’s easy to see Sony has had both ups and down regarding their recent live service titles, including a blockbuster bomb in Concord. However the masters of the genre are back at it with Marathon a title Bungie had somewhat forgotten about, till now.
Bungie talked about the game a while ago, but now we got all the details on the upcoming release.
The game will release on September 23rd, 2025. If you’re interested in joining the game early there are a few opportunities as well. First is a new alpha test that is scheduled to take place soon. To get in you can join the games Discord channel, and post within an Alpha test sub group to take a survey. People will be randomly selected after being approved.
Along with this information a bunch of videos were released by Bungie that dives into the different aspects of the game.
