The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen Coming to Disney Channel/Disney+

“The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen” has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+, from executive producers Debra Martin Chase and Raven-Symoné, who returns to her role as Galleria alongside Adrienne Bailon returning as Chanel. Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter are set to reprise their roles as Dorothea and Juanita, while Sabrina Bryan will make a special appearance as Dorinda, and Sophia Bush is set to appear in a supporting role as Jennifré. The music-driven film goes into production in South Africa this month.

A new cast of talented young actresses stars in the movie, including Leah Sava’ Jeffries (“Percy Jackson and the Olympians”) as Galleria’s daughter Faith, Carmen Sanchez (“Electric Bloom”) as Chanel’s sister Dior, Kaileen Chang as Ruby, and Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn. Newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala, a local South African actor discovered during Disney’s global open casting call, is set as Kendi.

The story picks up when Cheetah Girls Galleria (Symoné) and Chanel (Bailon), alongside Galleria’s daughter Faith (Jeffries) and her three friends, travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Along the way, these four teen girls test their friendship, find their voice, and discover the true Cheetah spirit as they save the preserve and ultimately take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls.

Debra Martin Chase (“The Princess Diaries”), who executive produced the first three “The Cheetah Girls” films, returns for this latest installment alongside Raven-Symoné as executive producer. Directed and co-produced by Bille Woodruff (“Bridgerton”) and written by Kara Holden, Sarah Watson and Deborah Swisher, the movie is produced by Disney Kids & Family and features choreography by Kyle Hanagami. Adrienne Bailon is a co-producer. The films are based on “The Cheetah Girls” book series by Deborah Gregory.

Take a Deeper Look into Planet Zoo 2

Frontier Developments has launched the first episode in the Feature Focus series for Planet Zoo 2. Showcasing Awe-inspiring Animals, the video highlights the West African Lions and their unique behaviours and welfare needs.

The video also offers a deeper look at Planet Zoo 2’s new emotion system, where animals display dynamic behaviours based on their current mood. This is influenced by the quality of their habitat and welfare, with animals reacting to the care they receive. A lack of enrichment, food, or fresh drinking water can leave them feeling lethargic, while well cared for animals will thrive and exhibit a wider range of natural behaviours.

Planet Zoo 2 is set to hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Trailer Highlights Combat Mechanics

The new trailer follows a rookie member of the Great Saiya Squad through a complete mission, showcasing the core gameplay systems of DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3. As players progress through missions with squads of up to four, they must adapt their tactics from battling waves of enemies to taking on powerful bosses. Throughout every encounter, their connection to original DRAGON BALL characters is a foundational part of the setting and mechanics in the game. Connections shape how players build their character, customize their abilities, and fight alongside iconic heroes.

In DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, Ki is at the center of every fight. Players can drain an opponent’s Ki through combos, charged attacks, and Ki Drain-type Super Attacks, forcing enemies into Ki Break status and leaving them vulnerable to Break Smash, a devastating finisher that deals significantly more damage than standard Super Attacks. Super Attacks come in multiple types, each with its own secondary effect, while Ultimate Attacks unleash powerful cinematic blows once their gauge is filled. Each character’s Battle Style also influences their move set and combo chains, allowing players to fight using techniques inspired by legendary warriors such as Goku and Vegeta.

The trailer also highlights how Soul Assist works in the game, which lets players summon a DRAGON BALL character to unleash one of their signature attacks once the Assist Gauge is full. Soul Switch allows players to temporarily channel a chosen character’s soul, transforming their appearance and dramatically enhancing their combat abilities. Players can also awaken race-specific transformations, including Super Saiyan, with additional races and playstyles to be revealed in the future.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PCs in 2027.
