The Game Awards was jam packed with huge reveals, but Geoff Keighley used the high-stakes moment before the Game of the Year was announced to reveal Naughty Dog’s next project.
We got a look at Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the prolific company’s next franchise. The game will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive.
The trailer description courtesy of Naughty Dog: Set thousands of years in the future, Intergalactic puts players into the role of Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. Jordan will have to use all her skills and wits if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to leave its orbit.
Studio Head Neil Druckmann penned a blog post on the Naughty Dog website where he thanked fans for their support and conveyed excitement around the new franchise, including Tati Gabrielle and Jordan, and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on the score.
