The LEGO video games have long been a beacon of video game joy for all ages. No matter what intellectual property or genre they take, there seems to always be a LEGO game for everyone to enjoy. Warner Bros. Games intends to keep that party rolling, as they have just unveiled the official launch trailer for their latest LEGO venture, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight! Click below to sit down and watch it here with us, but get ready to laugh, because there’s guaranteed to be something in here that tickles your funny bone.
From the Batman Forever soundtrack to Mr. Freeze getting yelled at from off-camera like Rex Banner to poop gags, Warner’s got jokes for everyone to get a giggle out of. All those grim and edgy Batman fans aren’t going hungry either, as the trailer shows off Legacy of the Dark Knight’s more mechanically-intensive, Arkham-inspired combat system, as well as a whole host of the Bat’s greatest allies and rogues alike. Oh, and the Akira slide. That was for you guys, too.
The only thing the trailer was lacking was the revelation of Sofia Falcone in her most comic-accurate appearance yet:

Truly, this game has it all.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled to release on May 22, 2026, for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam & Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned to launch later in 2026.
