From its reveal, DOOM: The Dark Ages promised to bring fresh gameplay mechanics, an engaging storyline, and stunning graphics that could potentially surpass those of previous entries in the iconic DOOM franchise. It has a whole lot to live up to, after DOOM: Eternal set a new, high, standard for the series (with it’s intense action and immersive story/world). Somehow, The Dark Ages manages to hold its own and deliver.
