First Trailer for Night of the Animated Dead Has Arrived

Warner Bros. Animation has revealed the first look at their upcoming animated remake of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead.

After getting a look at the voice cast, and the cover art/release date, we now get a first look at Night of the Animated Dead thanks to a fresh trailer (watch the Red Band one here):

To be honest, I’m not sure what I was expecting to see here…but this isn’t exactly it. The animation style feels off, more akin to something we’d see in the early days of Flash, rather than the sleek polish we’ve come to expect from WB. Hopefully, seeing it in full will help allay those reservations.

In Night of the Animated Dead, siblings Barbara and Johnny visit their father’s grave in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania when they are suddenly set upon by zombies. Barbara flees and takes refuge in an abandoned farmhouse along with stranded motorist Ben and four local survivors found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices.

Night of the Animated Dead arrives digitally on September 21st, with the Blu-ray hitting on October 5th!
