DC’s Stargirl: The Complete Second Season

This week, DC’s Stargirl: The Complete Second Season arrived on DVD and Blu-Ray and I’m here to let you know if it’s worth picking up.

The second season of DC’s Stargirl continued the adventures of Courtney Whitmore, the titular Stargirl, as she continues to lead the reformed Justice Society of America in the ongoing fight for justice. The DVD & Blu-Ray released on February 8, 2022 and contains all 13 episodes of the second season.

What really makes season 2 of Stargirl interesting to me is that the entire season takes place over the course of summer break while summer school is happening. This was an interesting way to pace the season, and it keeps you invested as the summer progresses. Also this season sees Courtney and her friends taking on a very frightening enemy: the dark entity of corruption known as Eclipso.

I feel like a lot of people are still sleeping on how amazing Stargirl is and I highly encourage everyone to pick up the recently released season 2 on DVD or Blu-ray. Season two built on a really interesting story premise and it only got better as time went on. If you’ve enjoyed Stargirl up to this point, then the season 2 DVD/Blu-ray is a must-have for you.

dcs-stargirl-the-complete-second-seasonA must-have for anyone who has enjoyed Stargirl up until this point, the only flaw the set has is a relative lack of bonus features. Other than that, it's a standard release for a CW superhero show, though the cover art is particularly beautiful for this season. Highly recommend picking it up.
