Craig Gillespie in Talks to Direct ‘Supergirl’ Movie

It looks like the upcoming Supergirl film might soon have a director.

According to an exclusive report from Deadline, director Craig Gillespie (Cruella, I, Tonya) is in talks to direct the new Supergirl film. Assuming nothing changes, the film would be shot after work on the new Superman film is completed.

This would be a big step forward, as it was recently confirmed that Milly Alcock would be playing the Girl of Steel on the big screen. As a refresher, this film is based on the hit 2022 comic book Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

There isn’t a release date yet for the new Supergirl movie. What do you think of Craig Gillespie possibly directing the film?
