First Trailer for Nightmare Alley Teases a Gorgeous Noir-Thriller

Our first look at for Guillermo Del Toro’s next film, Nightmare Alley, has finally arrived and it looks as haunting/beautiful as you’d expect.

Admittedly, I know very little about Nightmare Alley. I haven’t read the book the film is based on, and the trailer isn’t giving away much either. That said, I absolutely need this film injected into my eyeballs right now:

Sweet Jesus, but does GDT know how to make pretty films. Couple that with this all-star cast and the ever present sense of dread, and this has the makings of a must-see movie this December.

In NIGHTMARE ALLEY, an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is.

Nightmare Alley hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
