Netflix has surprised us with a bounty of recent treats with the reveal of Wake Up Dead Man’s release date reveal as well as a teaser trailer for Frankenstein, the latest exhibit from the creative mind of Guillermo del Toro, of Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth fame. You can catch the new footage over on YouTube or clicking through right here:
The trailer shows off Oscar Isaac giving it his all as usual in the titular role, giving a portrayal that leads the rest of the cast in a dramatic tragedy in the culmination of del Toro’s 30+ year ambition to adapt Mary Shelley’s gothic novel. The official logline of the film reads: “A brilliant but egotistical scientist brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.”
Frankenstein is set to release this November on Netflix. It also stars Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz.
