Paramount Sets New Dates for Top Gun: Maverick, Mission Impossible, and New Star Trek Film

Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

It’s another week which means it’s time for more Release Date Shuffle! Today, Paramount has delayed two flicks, while announcing a Star Trek movie!

Earlier, Snake Eyes got a new release date from Paramount, but they weren’t about to stop there. The studio have also moved Top Gun: Maverick from its July release spot to November 19, 2021. So yeah, we’ll have to wait even longer for this one, but not as long as the wait for Paramount’s OTHER big Tom Cruise movie.

Mission: Impossible 7, which previously occupied that November slot will now be dropping on May 27, 2022. This means Mission: Impossible 8 won’t be making it’s November 2022 date and has now been slated for July 7, 2023.

That’s not all, however, as Paramount revealed one more release date for an all new Star Trek movie! The new film, which has no real details to discuss at the moment, will hit theaters on June 9, 2023. That’s just a few months before the new Star Wars film, Rogue Squadron!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to once again update our 2021 Movie Schedule.
