Fans of the popular Fairy Tail series (and anime in general) should be excited by this: a sequel to the Fairy Tail anime series is on the way!
While the original Fairy Tail anime series wrapped up in 2019 after three hundred plus episodes, fans of the manga know that the story has continued (in written form) with a sequel story titled Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest. Now though, it’s been announced that an official anime adaptation of this sequel series is on the way, meaning the adventures of Fairy Tail will continue!
While Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest only launched three years ago, it’s already published 100 chapters, meaning there is plenty of story to be told. The story is summarized as follows:
“Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild are back in action! And they’ve decided to tackle the “100 Years Quest” – a job no one’s dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago. A mysterious town, a baffling spirit, a ghastly new enemy…and a brand new continent to explore. When you’re with real friends, the adventures never stop.”
