An ‘Orphan Black’ Sequel Series is in the Works, Anna Fishko Attached to Write the Series

It’s been confirmed that a sequel series to Orphan Black is moving forward, with Anna Fishko attached to write the series.

After being rumored since 2019, it’s been confirmed that a sequel series to Orphan Black is moving forward, with a writer’s room being established and Anna Fishko being tapped to write the series. Fishko’s previous work includes Fear the Walking Dead, The Society, and Colony. While the series is still in the early stages of development, it is known that this series will take place in the world of the original narrative, and thus should not be considered a reboot or a remake.

For those not familiar, the original Orphan Black premiered in 2013 and ran for 5 seasons and delved deep into the world of cloning, with star Tatiana Maslany playing over a dozen characters on the show. Given that Maslany is starring in the upcoming She-Hulk, it’s highly unlikely she’d appear in this sequel series, but it’s always possible the new series will pay homage to her somehow.

What do you think of Orphan Black receiving a sequel series?
