John Wick Prequel Series, The Continental, Gets First Trailer

Peacock has revealed the first teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming three-part event series set in the world of John Wick: The Continental.

If John Wick 4 left you only eager for more insane action set in the vast world of assassins, then today brings you a treat. But seriously, how freaking amazing is that movie? It’s unreal how good that franchise turned out to be and I’m still not tired of it.

Anyway…Peacock has offered fans the first look at the upcoming prequel series, The Continental:

Aside from the fact Mel Gibson is starring in this, I’m pretty damn excited. This is a solid teaser and showcases that even though we’re going back to the past with the story, the action will continue to be over the top and insane. There’s a wealth of lore that can be explored in this “event series” and I’m eager to see how it changes what we know of this world, and potentially enhances the films.

The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.

No specific release date has been given, but The Continental will premiere exclusively on Peacock starting in September 2023.
