Neil Druckmann Shares First Image of HBO’s The Last of Us

The Last of Us will go does as one of the greatest game series of all time. Say what you will about how TLOU II was, this series was one of the best emotional journeys I have been on in years.

When we first received news that a live-action version of the game was coming, I was hesitant, but after seeing some of the casting choices and that the live-adaptation would be an HBO series my mind was instantly changed. The connection Joel and Elle had along their journey was fascinating to watch blossom during the game.

As a fan, I know that Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will bring this surrogate father/daughter to life like we never thought we’d see. With that said, Neil Druckmann (Naughty Dog Co-President) shared the first image from the upcoming series today on  Twitter:

Yes. I am totally trying not a geek out right now, but HOLY SHIT YES! This image shows Joel(Pedro Pascal) and Elle(Bella Ramsey) looking into the distance at a crashed plane. Who knows exactly what is happening in this scene, but I know I cant wait to see more soon!

HBO’s THE LAST OF US series is set to release in late 2022, stay tuned here to see more news on the show’s release and details. Until then, make sure to check out my walkthrough of the game itself below!
