Phoebe Waller-Bridge Developing Tomb Raider Series for Amazon

Looks like Lara Croft may be finding her way back to live-action, this time on the small screen, as Amazon enlists Phoebe Waller-Bridge to pen a new Tomb Raider series!

After trying to get Tomb Raider back off the ground as a film franchise, to no avail, the adventurer is now heading to the small screen. THR is reporting that Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) is currently developing a series for Prime Video as part of her overall deal with the streaming service.

Waller-Bridge is currently writing the series on top of executive producing the show, but there’s no word yet if she plans on starring in the show as well. Either way, it’s exciting to see Tomb Raider get some new life to it. Considering Waller-Bridge also helped punch up the script for the latest Indiana Jones film, it sounds like she’s got a good handle on this brand of action/adventure story.

Now, if we can just get the games back on track…
