The first look at Tales of the Je—make that Tales of the Empire—has arrived, revealing fan favorite characters (Barriss Offee) will get all new stories next month!

As May the 4th (Star Wars Day) approaches, Lucasfilm has revealed the first look at Tales of the Empire…which seems to be taking the place of Tales of the Jedi season two. Once again, the series of animated shorts will focus on the story of two characters, but this time set during the height of the Empire.

Yes, we’re FINALLY getting to see what became of Barriss Offee after The Clone Wars. Also, I’m super excited to be getting a Morgan Elsbeth origin story which is bringing in Thrawn and General Greivous. Who knows, maybe we’ll also see how she meets up with Baylan Skoll…Regardless, this is a phenomenal trailer and I’m stoked to see this anthology series continue to branch out.

“Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” is a six-episode journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths, set during different eras. After losing everything, young Morgan Elsbeth navigates the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies.

All six episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire will hit Disney+ on May 4, 2024.
