Immortals Fenyx Rising Post-Launch Plans Revealed, Demo Returns to Stadia

Ubisoft announced today the post-launch plans for Immortals Fenyx Rising and dropped the news that a demo of the game is back on Stadia as of this morning ahead of the game’s December 3 launch on the Nintendo Switch and current and next generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

“This demo sends Fenyx on a quest to discover the mysterious Secret of the Cyclops. Set in a new archipelago inspired by Aphrodite’s region of the game, the demo will feature a mix of combat, exploration and puzzles designed to get players primed for the full experience,’ developers said. “In order to access the demo, players will need a Stadia account, which only requires a Gmail address. After completing the demo, players can also unlock the Stadium Armor Set reward by logging on to Ubisoft Connect. The Stadium Armor Set includes a distinctive helmet and armor.”

The post-launch plan for Immortals Fenyx Rising will include free in-game events, weekly dungeon challenges, and daily quests.

The season pass for the game will feature new environments and heroes as well as a bonus quest “When the Roads get Rocky” on launch day on top of three narrative-based downloadable content expansions:

  • A New God – Fenyx will embark on a new adventure set in Olympos Palace, home of the gods. This journey will require Fenyx to overcome the Trial of the Olympians, immersing players in beautifully crafted and challenging vaults built by the gods, in order to join the Inner Circle of the Pantheon.
  • Myths of the Eastern Realm – Set in Chinese Mythology, the game’s second episode will introduce a new hero, Ku, who sets out on a journey to save mortals in a new mystical land at the frontier of the Sky and Earth. Players will need to master Ku’s unique fighting style and abilities, inspired by Chinese martial arts, to defeat new enemies and monsters from Chinese mythology.
  • The Lost Gods – The third and final episode will feature top-down gameplay, all-new brawler combat and a new hero, Ash, chosen by Fenyx to bring back the lost gods. The episode will take place on a new mysterious island where players will explore regions inspired by these lost gods, to restore balance on Earth.

The season pass is available with the Gold Edition of Immortals Fenyx Rising or separately for $39.99.

“Developed by the team at Ubisoft Quebec, developers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is an exciting new IP that takes grand mythological adventure to new heights. Players will embody Fenyx, a new winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods and their home from a dark curse. Only by mastering the legendary powers of the gods, overcoming heroic trials and confronting powerful mythological beasts, will Fenyx be able to take on Typhon, the deadliest Titan in Greek mythology.,” developers said.

Immortals Fenyx Rising was initially revealed with the title “Gods & Monsters” and E3 in 2019. According to a report by VGC, Monster Energy filed an opposition to Ubisoft’s trademark for “Gods & Monsters,” two months before Ubisoft confirmed the name change to Immortals Fenyx Rising.
