Kirby: Discovery reveal & Bayonetta 3 release date leaked ahead of Sept. Nintendo Direct

Nintendo seems to have accidentally leaked some news expected to be shown during the September Nintendo Direct live stream slated for later this afternoon.

The official Nintendo website in Japan listed the unannounced Kirby: Discovery set to launch in Spring 2022 in addition to a 2022 release date for Bayonetta 3.

The listings for both games lead to broken blog posts, but that may change after the Direct.

The Nintendo Direct is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. CST and the company said yesterday the live stream will be “focused mainly” on games set to launch this winter.

Rumors have been circulating that Nintendo is planning on adding Gameboy Color and Nintendo 64 games to Nintendo Switch online (and possibly raising the price).

This news comes at the same time that Nintendo filed a patent for a new Switch controller. The patent has a confidentiality clause set to expire tomorrow and the internet has been alight with hopes an N64 controller will be the latest to launch by Nintendo to compliment the (much wanted) potential addition to the Online service.
