Save the Galaxy in Style in the Launch Trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

With just two weeks until Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game launches, Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal have unleashed an epic launch trailer set to Mötley Crüe’s Kickstart My Heart. Along with that banger of a song, the trailer features the Guardians taking on all manners of characters from the comics, including a certain all-powerful cosmic being.

Today, Eidos-Montréal released the official launch trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy showcasing a taste of the antics and escapades that await the interplanetary team in their out-of-this-world narrative adventure. The fate of the galaxy is in the hands of a ragtag band of misfits…what could go wrong? Set to Mötley Crüe’s headbanging “Kickstart My Heart,” the launch trailer helps answer that question, showcasing just some of the chaotic action to ensue. Although their differences often lead them into trouble, on the battlefield, each of the Guardians contributes something special to the team; explosive specialist Rocket is well-equipped to dish out area-of-effect damage, Groot provides unparalleled defensive support, Drax powers through any resistance head-on and Gamora lends swift and precise swordsmanship to the squad. As Star-Lord, players will call the shots both on the battlefield and throughout the story.

From past trailers, we’ve seen several well-known characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, like Cosmo. However, few could’ve imagined that a character like Adam Warlock would be in the game. Yet, a day removed from Will Poulter being cast as the Enclave’s creation in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the cosmic being is being teased at the end of the launch trailer. What role will he play? That’s answer I’m very eager to find out in two weeks time.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches on October 26, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and GeForce NOW. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version for Nintendo Switch will release on the same day.
