The latest Star Wars livestream from Hasbro puts the focus on the recently released film, with a couple animation goodies sprinkled in. Come take a look at the new reveals!
Star Wars fans/collectors got their second Hasbro fan-stream of the month. Coming after the weekend release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, much of the stream was, understandably, focused on the second wave of figures from the film. There are some swanky additions across both The Vintage Collection and Black Series, along with the return of even more ‘First Edition’ white boxes (once again they’ll be Walmart/Target exclusive).
On the TVC side of things we have a bit more variety. On top of Zeb and a Mercenary Droid from Mando & Grogu, we’re getting a new Sandtrooper (Squad Leader) and Hera Syndulla, based on her Rebels appearance…which will go nicely with the TVC Ghost and accompanying figures. Even better, we got a better look at the Devon Izara figure from Maul: Shadow Lord that they teased at CCXP. All of these TVC figures are set to arrive this Summer with pre-orders going live, May 28th at 1 PM ET on Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.
There were quite a few Black Series reveals to enjoy as well. There’s a new Remnant Snowtrooper, Mercenary Guard Droid, Embo (!!!), and Zeb. There’s also a new take on Grogu (on his own) that includes several new accessories—even the fish he steals—and comes in a tiny box. I like this one for a couple reasons.
For one, I like getting Grogu as a separate figure and not repackaged with Mando again and again. Also, the smaller box looks just like the first Black Series release of the character, back when we only knew him as “The Child.” Makes for a fun comparison to have them side by side.
On top of that, there’s a new IG-11 figure! This one is based on his appearance in the season three finale, where he’s been rebuilt to be the Nevarro Marshal. So it’s not from the film (though it sounds like he may have appeared in a deleted scene), but helps complete the overall Mandalorian collection quite nicely.
Like the TVC figures, these are also set to launch this Summer with pre-orders going down May 28th at 1 PM ET on Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.
