New Star Wars Reveals from Hasbro at SDCC

While the selection was limited, Hasbro showed off some upcoming Star Wars toys for fans/collectors during their presentation at SDCC.

Despite Triple Force Friday being only a couple months away (October 4th), Hasbro was unable to show off any of the toys they’ll be releasing during that event (except for the already revealed Sith Trooper). As such, the Star Wars reveals were slim pickings compared to years past.

Even so, they still revealed a handful of interesting items that collectors/fans will be eager to pick up:

First up, they revealed some new Galaxy of Adventures figures. While the line has been around for the past year, the newer figures will actually take on the look/appearance of the animation featured in the shorts (which I’m really excited about).

These 5-inch scale action figures feature multiple points of articulation and design, and include detail inspired by STAR WARS movies and entertainment. Recreate exciting adventures with fan favorites like HAN SOLO, CHEWBACCA, DARTH VADER, C-3PO, and more!

Remember the HyperReal Darth Vader figure they revealed at Toy Fair earlier this year? Well, he’s not alone. During the panel they showed off a VERY swanky looking HyperReal Bespin Luke Skywalker. While the Vader will be launching within the next month, we’ll have to wait until Fall 2020 for this one to join in.

Featuring super realistic detailing and articulation, along with an exterior skin and interior skeletal structure for seamless posing, STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES HYPERREAL figures let fans recreate galactic scenes with a faithfulness to the STAR WARS entertainment that includes the STAR WARS comics, movies, and animated series. This highly detailed LUKE SKYWALKER figure captures the minute physical features of the imposing character inspired by STAR WARS: EPISODE V THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. This figure features movie-inspired detail, interior skeletal structure with seamless joints, and 28 points of hyper-articulation for realistic posing that allow fans to create almost lifelike poses and scenes for display in their collection. Includes figure, 13 accessories, and figure stand.

For those of you interested in collecting the high quality replica helmets from the Black Series (which you can wear or display), they showed off a incredibly detailed Boba Fett helmet for fans. Best of all it even includes a “working” flip down range-finder.

This role-play item with highly-detailed deco, movie-inspired design, interior padding, adjustable fit, and electronic lights is a great addition to any STAR WARS fan’s collection. Featuring a flip-down viewfinder with flashing LED lights and an illuminated rangefinder HUD, fans can imagine yourself as the most infamous bounty hunter in the Galaxy!

Hopefully we’ll learn more about the upcoming Force Friday figures (which will include stuff from The Rise of Skywalker, The Mandalorian, and Jedi: Fallen Order) soon. But for now, these are still pretty neat to look forward to!
