Sideshow Unveils New Clone Wars Inspired Darth Maul Figure

Ahead of their virtual New York Con event, Sideshow Collectibles have revealed a stunning new 1/6th scale Darth Maul figure.

It’s almost like Sideshow knows I’m a big Darth Maul collector and a sucker for anything bearing his likeness. When they sent me this press release, I think my jaw hit the floor. The gorgeously detailed figure captures his appearance from the final season of The Clone Wars and I need it:

In the climactic final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Darth Maul orchestrated the siege of Mandalore as a means to draw Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi to him with plans to kill Skywalker and deprive Darth Sidious of his new apprentice. When he was greeted by Ahsoka Tano instead, he made the most of the situation by offering to form an alliance, two outcast apprentices joining forces to put a stop to the creeping evil of the Sith. After clashing Lightsabers in the throne room of the capital city, Ahsoka turned Maul’s own weapon against him and was able to capture the former Sith Lord for the Republic.

Even better, the figured comes with special packaging that recreates the Mandalorian Sarcophagus they used to imprison him in the show. It’s a neat touch that shows the amount of care and detail they company puts into these.

The 1:6 scale Darth Maul collectible figure includes:

An authentic and detailed likeness of Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Highly-accurate facial expression with detailed horns, iconic tattoos, and skin texture
