Marvel Swaps Release Dates for The Marvels and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

This afternoon brings some Marvel movie release date changes as they’ve announced two upcoming sequels switching around…

Movie release date changes are nothing new, but these will at least be a bit easier to update on your calendars. Disney/Marvel have revealed two of the MCU films in 2023 are swapping dates: The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The upcoming Captain Marvel sequel was originally slated to hit on February 17, 2023, but has now been pushed back to July 28, 2023…The spot previously occupied by Ant-Man 3. Thankfully Ant-Man isn’t getting delayed, but rather moving FORWARD to take over The Marvels‘ spot in February.

So we’re still getting both of these movies next year, on the same dates previously announced…Just switched up. No reason has been given for the shift, but with VFX houses backed up and dealing with delays (a big reason for the recent DC movie shift), it’s possible they’re just closer to having Quantumania in the can over Marvels. Who knows, maybe it has something to do with story elements they’re changing up.

Either way, adjust those calendars.
