A release date has been revealed for the Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel.
Nintendo has revealed the official release date for the next Super Mario Bros. movie. During yesterday’s MAR10 Day celebrations, Nintendo revealed that the movie will be released on April 3, 2026.

It’s not been revealed what exactly the sequel will be about, but based on a post-credits scene from the first film it’s all but guaranteed Yoshi will be introduced into the story. I also wouldn’t mind seeing more of Princess Peach’s backstory revealed.
While we have a few years to wait for the next Super Mario Bros. Movie, at least we now know when it is coming.
