Fans of the Horizon series will get excited about this news: a TV adaptation of the popular game is coming to Netflix.
A number of video game-to-TV adaptations have been announced as of late, including a God of War series coming to Amazon Prime. Now the Horizon series is entering the mix as Sony has announced that a Horizon: Zero Dawn adaptation is coming to Netflix.
Aside from this announcement that the show was coming, no other details have been announced and it’s unknown if anyone is attached to the project as of yet.
No matter who is involved, the prospect of seeing a television series about the world of Horizon: Zero Dawn is an exciting one. The games are set in a distant post-apocalyptic future where scattered tribes of humanity live in relative peace with complex machine animals that roam the countryside. Assuming this show receives the proper budget, this show has the potential to be stunningly beautiful.
It’s currently unknown if this show will be directly adapting the game’s plot or if it will be an original story set in that universe.
