This morning, unexpectedly, brings our first trailer for Ms. Marvel showcasing the young hero in action, while also giving us a Disney Plus premiere date.

If Moon Knight wasn’t enough Marvel action for your to look forward to on Disney Plus, Disney/Marvel have revealed the first full trailer for Ms. Marvel along with a release date to mark down!

I’m not as familiar with the Ms. Marvel character, but I am digging what I’m seeing in this trailer. I love the overall feel/vibes of the show, which seems distinctly different from anything else we’ve seen from Marvel in a while. At the very least, it seems like it could be a whole lot of fun.

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The cast also includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8, 2022. This means, for the first time, we’ll have both live-action Star Wars and Marvel overlapping (as Kenobi will still be running through June). That’s a whole lot of nerdy goodness!
