Gabriel Luna Joins the Cast of The Last of Us Series

The supporting cast of HBO’s upcoming adaptation of The Last of Us as Gabriel Luna has signed on to play Joel’s brother, Tommy.

Pedro Pascal and Gabriel Luna will be brothers on The Last of Us and I couldn’t be more excited. While this is only the third official casting for the upcoming TV series, the choices so far have been amazing. Deadline reported Luna’s hiring, revealing that he’ll be playing Tommy.

In the game, Tommy is Joel’s younger brother who’s managed to form a colony of survivors who seem to be thriving in the 20ish years since the outbreak. They haven’t always agreed, but the two are close. While Tommy’s role in the first game was a tad smaller, he played a bigger role in the sequel, which could mean something bigger down the road for the series.

No premiere date has been set for the show, but with a full series order given and filming kicking off in a little bit, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for this.
