Hasbro Reveals New Toys at Star Wars Celebration Japan

During their panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan, Hasbro revealed new figures for both their Black Series and Vintage Collection lines. Take a look!

Day one of this year’s Star Wars Celebration already brought news on books, manga, Shawn Levy’s film, and even a Darth Maul show…but there were also some new toys for fans/collectors to drool over. During their panel, Hasbro offered up some all new toy goodies that include some long anticipated figures.

Let’s kick things off with the Black Series line. We’re getting two new figures based on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, featuring Nightsister Merrin (finally) along with a new Cal Kestis coming packaged with Turgle and Skoova Stev (this one is an Amazon exclusive)! I’m sorry, but I love this figure with all my heart. The fact we’re getting an alternate head that includes the handle-bar mustache/mullet version of Cal is worth the price along.

On top of that, we’re getting new versions of Han Solo and Chewbacca from A New Hope and DASH RENDAR finally joins the line as part of the recent Shadows of the Empire releases; complete with shoulder pads and all. All of these figures will arrive this Summer, with pre-orders going live at various retailers today, April 18th @ 3PM ET.

On the Vintage Collection side of things, we’re also getting a Nightsister Merrin figure from Jedi: Survivor, along with a new Rocket Launcher Trooper from the same game. From The Mandalorian we’re getting a Dark Trooper Armor version of Moff Gideon on top of a new Cobb Vanth. Crosshair from the Bad Batch is finally making an appearance in this line as well.

Lastly, and my favorite of the Vintage reveals, is a new Bantha and Tusken Raider (Hasbro Pulse/Disney Store exclusive)! When I was younger, the 90s Power of the Force II line of toys had a fluffy Bantha figure with a Tusken, and I was never able to get my hands on it. I always loved the idea of a fluffy Bantha toy and now…I’m getting a fresh chance!

Like the Black Series figures these will also hit in the Summer with pre-orders going live later today. Which of these new reveals are you most excited about?
